What do I do for my Initial Visit?
Your first visit is the most important visit because this is the time when we get to know you as a patient. We will discuss any health concerns you have and get a thorough history involving past and present health issues. After we collect this information, we will peform a physical examination.
The physical examination is a hands-on approach to evaluating the overall function of your body, inside and out. In addition to accessing the area of complaint, this can be very useful in indentifying underlying health issues that may not yet be apparent.
We will order radiological testing or lab work, if it is needed, before we treat you. This is dependent on your insurance plan. For your convenience, we have imaging privileges at St. Joseph Medical Center, Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, or Lakewood Health Systems.
When all examinations are complete, we will explain to you what is wrong, our recommendations for your condition, and the best course of treatment. We will explain how long it should take to resolve and if we need to co-treat with other professionals. Our goal is to get the problem corrected as soon as possible.
